Conversations
Section titled “Conversations”You can keep as many conversations as you like. From the sidebar you can create, rename, switch between and delete them. Each conversation keeps its own history.
Streaming and “thinking”
Section titled “Streaming and “thinking””Answers arrive live as they are generated. With thinking models, the assistant’s reasoning is shown while it works in a collapsible Thinking… panel. Once the answer is complete, the thought process remains available in a collapsible box under the message — only the final answer is kept in the conversation history.
Conversation files
Section titled “Conversation files”Use the conversation’s top-right ... menu or drag a file over the
conversation. The upload starts immediately and appears as a chronological
conversation event; you do not need to send a message.
- Aya knows the file is available but does not analyse it automatically.
- File content is read only when you later ask Aya to inspect or work with it.
- Conversation files also stay available in your file space — see Files.
The file-added event opens the integrated viewer where supported, or offers a download for other formats.
